We are currently seeking a Part-Time/Adjunct Electrical Technician Instructor to join our skilled trades faculty.

Program Overview:
The Electrical Technician program introduces students to foundational concepts in residential and commercial wiring. With a strong emphasis on safety and code compliance, students gain hands-on experience installing circuits, switches, conductors, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of professional electrical field experience required
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Residential and commercial wiring;
- Code compliance and safety standards;
- Hands-on installation practices;
- Ability to effectively demonstrate electrical theory and practical application.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student success and workforce readiness.
- Previous teaching experience preferred, but not required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), database software, Google docs, and use of internet.
- Must be punctual, responsible, organized, ethical and a team player.
- Excellent multi-tasking and communication (written and verbal) skills is required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be professional and maintain confidentiality of employee information and campus records.
- Must be flexible to work earlier or later shifts or weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver lecture and hands-on laboratory instruction aligned with the approved curriculum.
- Follow established course outlines, objectives, and evaluation standards.
- Develop and maintain daily lesson plans and instructional documentation.
- Monitor and document student attendance and retention.
- Grade assignments and provide feedback within 48 hours.
- Provide academic support during scheduled office hours or by appointment.
- Advise students regarding academic performance and institutional policies.
- Maintain communication with academic leadership (Lead Instructor, Program Chair, Academic Dean, or Campus President).
- Monitor laboratory equipment, tools, and supply inventory.
- Secure instructional materials and supplies as needed.
- Participate in professional development to maintain accreditation standards, including required AHED online training and Foundations of Teaching modules.
- Substitute for other instructors when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation & Benefits:
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
