We are currently seeking an Academic Dean to provide strategic leadership for campus academic operations while ensuring excellence in education delivery and regulatory compliance. This key leadership role shapes the academic culture through mentorship, data-driven decision-making, and a student-centered approach. Working closely with the Campus President, the Academic Dean champions both student success and faculty development while maintaining high educational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership & Compliance

  • Partner with the Campus President to recruit, develop, and retain exceptional faculty
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through faculty training, coaching, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure academic operations comply with state, federal, and accreditation requirements
  • Lead institutional planning and the implementation of academic policies
  • Collaborate on federal and state reporting requirements and prepare for regulatory audits
  • Maintain comprehensive faculty records that meet accreditation standards

Student Success & Retention

  • Promote student retention through data monitoring, early intervention, and academic support initiatives
  • Facilitate engaging new student orientations that establish a strong foundation for success
  • Ensure curriculum delivery maintains educational integrity and quality standards
  • Lead daily retention meetings to address academic, attendance, and skill-development concerns
  • Oversee systems that monitor satisfactory academic progress and student interventions
  • Coordinate the timely development of student and faculty schedules
  • Strengthen community partnerships through guest speakers and advisory committees

Administrative Leadership

  • Monitor key financial aid and academic performance metrics across multiple reporting periods
  • Produce accurate and timely reports to support campus leadership decision-making
  • Ensure proper processing and documentation of academic records
  • Conduct regular consultations with program chairs regarding curriculum, resources, and staffing
  • Perform routine classroom observations
  • Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education or a related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in education management
  • Demonstrated success mentoring and developing faculty
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and support innovation
  • Experience with CampusVue preferred
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
